They’re not fighting how we planned

Between 1991 and 2022, Western militaries made some courageous assumptions about how adversaries would fight. These skewed their operating and training patterns, perhaps the entire force design. Simply hoping that enemies will fight the way you hope they will is not a strategy for success.
